How to backup a iscsi drive on a Hyper-V ?

Question,

I have a iscsi san and use this to store data. I have Backup Exec 12.5 all up to date with the Hyper-V agent and the remote agent installed on said Hyper-V.

However when I attempt to backup the SAN attached network drive it is at least 4 times slower than if I was backing up the same SAN attached drive to a physical server.

Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to fix this issue, is it a configuration error on my part or an issue with backup exec?

You need to have Full version of Backup exec installed on Hyper -V server  along with the SAN storage option to backup the data

I have the full version of backup exec?

Why do I need the SAN storage option? I do not need it if the drive is attached to a physical server?
