How to duplicate from replicated VTL to real tape

There are 3  BE 2012 servers in CASO environment.

All connect to each DataDomain VTL.

VTL is replicated by Data Domain.

I just config DD to replicated VTL and BE catalog.

But I just wonder how to duplicate only data from last night to real tape.

Can I create job on CASO to backup on MMS1 and duplicate to real tape on CAS.

If the main job was run from CASO, you should be able to initiate a duplicate job from CASO to get the backup set duplicated to the MMS.

In job deffinition, I can select MMS to perform backup.

But in duplicate state, I cannot select server to perfrom.

Hey just reconfirmed that it is required that the devices are shared for this to work.

Each site is connected with WAN not SAN.

Shared device is impossible.

Can you from CASO see the VTL device?  Can you see the media on it?  

You could schedule an import of all media and catalog each day no?  Then run a duplicate as needed say weekly?

I just try to create job on CAS and select MMS2 to backup, on Duplicate stage I can only select device on MMS2 to perform.

It cannot select multiple servers in a job definition.

In CAS's VTL, It can see all tape from all site and catlog is also sent from MMS.

However, I just create backup definition on CAS:

When specify MMS to perform backup,the duplicate stage can select only device connectd to MMS.

When not spicify server,I can select devices from all servers,but unable to submit the job, the job error: device in backup and duplicate must be on same server.
