Can't ago driectly from v8.x to v11, but there is a way

Setup a workstation, shut down all backup exec services on the old server and copy the entire ..\BackupExec\NT\ tree to the workstation
Also copyi any B2D folders
Install v9.1 in demo mode on the workstation v4691.1 here http://support.veritas.com/docs/264658   (you can use Demo Mode  - No serials)
then upgrade that to v11d   (again, you can use Demo Mode
See http://support.veritas.com/docs/280710 Says it's for v10, but you should be able to adapt it to v11

There is a BEUTIL function that is supposed to copy configuration from one v11 server to another, but there have been several posts to the effect that it doens't work.  You may want to try it.  Remeber if you do try this, that you must manually copy your \Catalogs folder and any B2D folders to the new server
