I/O Error 45d

Something broke over the weekend or Monday when I was on Holdiay, and now I haven't had a backup run all week. I get this message, 45d - The Request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. The only thing that happens is the job pre-caches for about 5 hours, then errors out. I have a Dell Powervault110T

I've looked at
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/191694.htm
and dont' think using the mfg. driver will help because when i originally installed BE, they didn't like the Dell drivers, so I went with the Veritas ones. There havent' been any network changes, and I'm not sure where to look next.

Thanks,
Paul

Hello,

* Check out for Event IDs 5s, 7s, 9s, 11s, and 15s that may occur on system startup, or during backup.

* Please refer to the following documents:

http://support.veritas.com/docs/255501

http://support.veritas.com/docs/191158

* Ensure that the SCSI drivers and the firmware is updated.

Hope it helps.

Well here's what we know so far. The tape drive is broken, so Dell is sending out a new drive, and I should have it today, so we will see after it gets installed whether the drive was the problem. I will update soon.
