I don't seem to be able to backup the contents of CPS Backup Folder to tape.

We have BackupExec 12.5 running for two remote offices to a central BackupExec 12.5 Media server and these jobs seem to be running fine. the CPS backup folder on the media server are included within a daily backup job to tape which have not been reporting any issues. Today I went to restore a file from the tape but the I have found that the tape backup job has only backed up the folder structure to the letter representing the drive of the remote office server ie

C:\CPS REGIONAL BACKUP FOLDER\SERVER_NAME\D

All the subfolders are not there. I then tried a one-off backup and that also only backed up the folders to the above level. All backup jobs are reporting as completed fine.

My next thing to try was while on the server console, copy the "C:\CPS REGIONAL BACKUP FOLDER" to another folder "C:\Copy of CPS REGIONAL BACKUP FOLDER" and I was able to backup the contents of this folder as expected to tape and restore.

BackupExec is running as Administrator and I can browse the original directory structure fine within Windows Explorer.

So why can't BackupExec backup the original CPS folder and how do I fix it?

Kind regards

Barry.

Are you selecting the data through the CPS agent or through the file system?
