I've just reinstalled 9.1. Everytime I start Backup Exec the IDR Preparation Wizard starts. When I give it a path for the recovery iformation the wizard then closes with no error message. I've tried setting a range of different locations for the recovery info - including another local drive and remote drives.

Do you have 9.1 4691 SP4a?

Yes, we have SP4 plus all the other patches recomended by the Veritas site.

Actual revision we are on is 4691 - if that makes any difference.

The IDR wizard was working fine untill we reinstalled. Reinstall didn't throw up any errors.

I have a problem similar, I have resolved following these steps:

- Use a CD of Windows Server full compatible with ISO 9660.
Using NERO I have t burn from an ISO file, I have had to select 9660 (without Joliet compatibility) and write it with the option "Disk at once" instead "Track at once".

- Second step, I have installed this hotfix
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/278553.htm

After to install the hotfix, the patches installed the re-installation of BE was:

1. Intall BE 9.1 Release 4691
2. Install SP4a (Warning threre is a SP4 and a newer SP4a)

3. Install Post Hotfix Intelligent Disaster Recovery

It start to work after that
