We are using Symantec Backup Exec 12 for our network backups, I am looking for updated device drivers for IBM 3580 400/800GB Ultrium LTO3 tape drive. Could anyone let me know the location to download updated drivers? Thanks for the help!

Thanks a lot for the help! We are having problems for our backups, the error message from log file is following, not sure updated driver will fix the problem or not. Thanks again!

<OperationErrors Type="drive_error">Storage device "IBM 1" reported an error on a request to write data to media. Error reported: Incorrect funcion.</OperationErrors>

Your error message could also indicate a hardware failure.  You should run the IBM hardware utility to test the tape drive.  Make sure that you stop all the BE services before running the utility and select the write test.
