Incremental and Full problems

Hi

I created a FULL and INCREMENTAL media set and scheduled FULL jobs to run once a week, and incremental backups to run the others.  The problem is, even though I specify Incremental and full in the job settings, I consistently get the same byte count for both full and incremental jobs even though I know most of the files are never used.

What should I be looking for?

If you're using tapes, are they showing up as having the same amount of space on them used?

Also, if you go into the backup job log itself, do they show as having backed up the same amount of files/folders in your full as in your incremental jobs?

Yes, we are backing up to tapes - because of the retention settings on the tapes, they all have different sizes.

The log files show approximately the same number of files/folders (slight differenences), and the byte count is approximately the same (out of 644GB, they may be off by 50MB)

Are you INCR jobs based on Change Bit or on Date Modified?

Are you using the same Selection list for both jobs, or separtate lists?
