Install Lyris

I'm trying to install Lyris that will use MSDE on the server with BackupExec 10.0 already on it. There is a conflict during the installation when Lyris sees SQL server already installed and Lyris installation fails. Does someone have any experience with this kind of problem?

Could you try it the other way round (on a test machine)?
That means first Lyris and then BE.

(I'm shure you have a good reason to install both on the same server so I will not debate that).

Hello,

Please try the test given by Peter.

Backupexec while Installation asks you if you want to use a availbale SQL Insatnce or create a new one. Please choose the Option to create a new MSDE instance, to avoid further Problems while restoring.
