Hello,
We recently took over a system that is running Symantec Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems on a configuration that includes Windows Server 2003/Windows XP/Sql Server 2005. We have been tasked to upgrade the configuration to Windows Server 2008/Windows 7/Sql Server 2008. My question is - Does our current verson of Backup Exec need to be upgraded, and if so then to what version?
Thanks
Mike

Backup Exec 12.0 does not support Windows 7 OS.
You can upgrade to either Backup Exec 2010 R3 or Backup Exec 2012 (which is the latest version) based on what your support contract states.
