Is it necessary to run inventory Libary Every Day!!!?

I have HP robotic library HP 8096 with 96 slots and 48 are in function.

Is it necessary to run Inventory Library every day or i can run it once in a week.

Which one is most good practice to do.??

You only need to run inventory if you load or unload tapes in your libraries or change the positions of the tapes.  Otherwise, you do not need to run inventory.

If you are using barcode labels, you can run a scan instead of inventory.  Scan is a lot faster than inventory.
