I am running BackupExec 2012 and have a Job Status that is stuck on 'Active' and i'm trying to find out what this means.

This means that the job is currently engaged in a job process in relation to the configured job. you can however view the details of the job... like the job rate and byte count.. even which files are currently being backed up.

Double click on the job and take a look at the joblog. If the statistics are being updated, it means that the job is still actively doing work. If there is no update, it means that the job has hung.
