Good afternoon
I installed recently a Symantec Backup Exec 2012 on Oracle server, to backup the oracle database.
But i have a error message when i run a job :"The job failed with the following error: This server name is not in Backup Exec server's authentication list. Enter the server's fully qualified domain name and logon account into the Backup Exec server's authentication list. Server names in the authentication list are case-sensitive".

If the Oracle server is a remote server, are you using an account that has the same name/password on that server? Or have you added the Oracle server's local admin account into BE and used this when browsing the server and setting up the job?

Thank you for your respponse .
I use a local account with all access, the BE server is the same the Oracle server.
The File backup work fine but the oracle backup set no.
Thank you

Refer http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH60001 - even thought the article is old and BE console has changed with BE 2012 but the default rights to backup oracle remain the same. Please ensure that the acccount is configured in BE icon -> Configuration and Settings -> backup exec settings -> oracle properly
