Load Media error

Hi. I have a old HP Proliant server that is still in use. This server contains MS Windows SBS 2003. We have installed Symantec BackUpExec 2012.

We have configure to do a full backup in a USB hard drive. The server has a RAID 5 of 3 physical disks, 36Gb each. After a few hours running, the backup tells an error regarding "Load Media". Could this be a problem with the hard drive use for the backup or maybe the USB transfer rate (version 1.1)?

Thank...

Hi. Thanks for the replies.

1. The USB Drive is 1TB and has 200Gb available. The server has an estimate of 75Gb of data.

2. I double check if there was another error, but found nothing. I will try to configure the different options and run it again.

Thank...

Additionally, edit the disk storage properties and ensure the option "Preallocate disk space incrementallyupto the maximum file size" isn't enabled. If it is, uncheck it and restart the backup job.

Lastly, do ensure BE is fully patched with Sp4.
