Location of Backup Data

Hello All,

We've recently upgraded our servers to BE v.11d, build-7170 and in doing so, inadvertentlly blew away all of our job sets.  Does BE maintain a file that consists of the data selections for backup jobs?  This would be really helpful if someone knows rather than us attempting to reinvent the wheel.

 TIA.

Hi BEG,

The jobs and backup selection list  are store inside the backup exec database.   The location
is c:\program files\Symantec \Backup Exec  data directory .
It will be the bedb_data.mdf and bedb_log.ldf .    If it did not migrated you will need to recreate the selections list and jobs.

if you upgraded from a prior v11d build, look for the latest  BEDB.BAK  file.  backupExec creates one each night during database maintenance.

Fire up BEUTIL and select "Recover Configuration from a File" and point it at the BAK file

I don't think hta tthis will work for a v10d/v10.0 BAK file, but it may be worth a try
