Logs are not deleted

I am running Backup Exec For Windows Server 10.d (version 10.1 rev 5629) with Exchange Server 2003 SP2.

A fair amount of Logs are not purged (not deleted).

I guess it's because the backup failed a few times due to the Remote Agent which is not OK (previous post).

Is it safe to manually delete these old logs (more than one month)?

Help appreciated.

No you cant delete the logs.

You should resolve the remote agent error otherwise run NTBACKUP on the Exchange server and run a backup to disk or tape of the Information store to clear the logs

You should complete a successful backup and let BE purge the logs for you. You shouldn't manually delete exchange log files.

Also I have this problem and I have scheduled a weekly job of the only storage group and not the mailboxes,and for now the logs are flushed and deleted.But I want to resolve this issue and now search a solution.Bye.
