M: Drive Not selected but recieve error "V-79-57344-65072"

I have a cluster configuration with 2 mailbox nodes.
Node 1 is active and 2 is passive.

I am backing up the physical drive (c: & d:) and system state on each node and the mailboxes on the virtual server.

Node 2 successfully completes a backup job. Node 1 returns the following error:
V-79-57344-65072 - The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled.

The Veritas link, http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/255814.htm , specifically identifies this problem and provides an easy enough solution of deselecting the M: drive on all exchange server backup jobs.

I do not have the M: Drive selected on any drives and am unable to find any other posted solution for this issue.

Please help.

Hello,

Perform the following steps and check the results:
1] Stop all non essential third party software and Antivirus software services prior to backup operation.

2] Change the priority of remote agent and verify backup. Refer to the following technote for the same:
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/253094.htm

Hope this helps you.

Regards

Mr. KulKarni,
Thank you for you response.
Unfortunately, your suggestion did not work either. I normally have SAV autoprotect turned off and schedule scans opposite the backup schedule. I did completely stop all SAV services and checked for any other software running before running the backup job again.

Is there anything else I could try?

Hello,

Please check whether the port 10000 is open on the node on which you are getting the error.

Please use the following utility:

http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/TcpView.html

Thanks,

We are having the same error. M drive is not selected and port 10000 is open.

In the event viwer is loged this message:

Faulting application beremote.exe, version 10.1.5629.0, faulting module BEDSMBox.dll, version 10.1.5629.0, fault address 0x0000acaa.

There is a patch for the BE 10 (http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/275899.htm) but will not install in 10d.Message was edited by:
