Media is not showing

Hi,

  We are using BE 12.5 for windows server. I import one tape, the import job was successfull. after that the media is showing off line. I start the inventry alos but the same problem.

I checked in library slots ther is no media, but the particular media is available in the device, not showing.

1) Are the import and inventory jobs successful?

2) Use the Web interface to the library to verify that the tape is in a regular slot and not the mailslot.

How to check through Web interface?

Normally the web interface will show you which slots are occupied, etc. so that you can verify that the tape is actually in the slot that you think it is in.

Hi vigneshwaran,

pkh is talking about the web interface of your tape device not backup software.

this is to check that the tape is visible through the firmware page(web interface) of the tape device.

you can try changing slots and see if the tape is then visible.
