Media retention

Hi

We have a backup to disk job which runs daily on critical data as a secondary backup. It saves us having to recall tapes if we have any urgent backups. We would like to set the media retention period for the data to keep data for up to a month and then start overwriting the older data. How can this be done? The policies don't seem to help.

John,

You will have to configure the media set of the job to do this.  When you create the job change the media set to one that has the retention period you are looking for.
