Move From Local Database to Remote SQL 200

Does anyone know if you can move a local Backup Exec Database to a remote SQL 2000 Server using the BEUTILITY?  Symantec has a page on how to do just that for SQL 2005 Server but not SQL 2000 Server.  Can anyone confirm that this method is the same?

Software using: Backup Exec 12.5
Full Server: SQL 2000 Server

The Database for backup exec 12.5 is not supported to be hosted on SQL 2000
Please check the compatibilty list
