Moving files and their security to new server

We are replacing our Backup Exec media server (8.60 version) on Windows 2000 with a new Windows 2003 server ( with Backup exec 11.0).
The Windows 2000 server is also a file server, and those files will move to new Windows 2003 server.
What is the best method to move files over to new server, and have files keep their current security?

Hi,

Here even the Operationg System will be different ! So you have to either install BE11 fresh on the windows 2003 or Upgrade windows 2000 to 2003 and then upgrade BE from 8.6 to 11d on the same machine and then move it to new Windows 2003 !!
