Multiple tapes in library

BE 2010 connected to a powervault library. When I have 2 tapes in consecutive slots in one partition, the 2nd tape is being written to first. Any idea why? Back in the BE 9 days, the tapes in the lowest slot in the partition were always written first, so I'd like to go back to that behavior if possible.

Backup Exec should grab  the oldest tape first, regardless of the slot location (the one that has been in scratch status longest

You can either swap slots for the tapes, or before a job begins, relabel the tapes in a particular partition, starting with the lowest numbered slot, and BackupExec should then act as you expect.
