Hello Friends,
Can any help me to configure the backup of Oracle & SQL databases in Symantec BE Continuous Protection Server.
- Can BE CPS able to take the real time backup of Databases?
- While backing up the live database will it freeze the database?
- How snapshot works for this backup?

Hello Shailendra,
You cannot use backup exec CPS to protect Oracle databases real time. You will need to use the Backup Exec Agent for Oracle for RMAN initiated backups. CPS will not continuously protect ORACLE unlike it does for Exchange.
Also Refer to the below document.
ftp://exftpp.symantec.com/pub/support/products/Backup_Exec_for_WindowsNT/358200.pdf
Refer to Page Number 1316 in the above document.
Also you may refer to the below documents on "Agent for Oracle" with Backup Exec 2010 which will hellp you understand the backup better with the agent.
