Is this a VM or a physical machine ? And is being backed up using the virtual or the RAWS agent ?

Its VM and being backed up using RAWS agent

Can you post a screenshot showing "never backed up" and attach the job log as well for this machine. Thanks.

Would you post the job log as well ? Thanks.

For System State :
There is no job log it went sucsessful and system state is showing as never backed up.

For SQL :

12-10-2014 09:43 PM
Am unable to see the system state in backup set and its showing as never backed up with successful in backup status.

How are you backing up system state ? Did you explicitly select system state in the backup selections ?
If you are backing up using the virtual agent (as per the above screenshot), then system state also would not be shown under backup sets (since you are backing up the complete VM). It will be available for restore if GRT backup was successful.

Then what should be done for backing up system state

How are you currently backing up the machine ?
If you are backing up the complete VM with GRT using the virtual agent, the system state is already being backed up.
Else, the other option is to backup the VM as a physical machine using the RAWS agent.

I have installed windows agent to the VM's which have windows server os.
Backing up with GRT then too system state is not being backed up.

If you are using the virtual agent and GRT is enabled, have you checked the restore selections ? Backing up in this manner will show System State as never backed up since you are backing up the complete VM.

so whats the solution how to take backup??
12-12-2014 05:22 AM
As its a VM & you seem to have the appropriate license, its better to take the backup using the virtual agent with GRT enabled. (The way which you are doing now).
I would recommend you to have a read @ the Admin Guide specifically around the Agent for VMware / Agent for Hyper-V chapters.
For System State :
There is no job log it went sucsessful and system state is showing as never backed up.
Is there a log in job history ? How do you know if the backup was successful if there is no job log ?
For SQL
This is not a RAWS based backup. This is backed up using the virtual agent. (Next time, post the complete log as its easier for us to give you accurate information). If the job log shows the resources as backed up, then this appears to be a cosmetic issue.
