Did you mean:

New backup exec 12 installation at DR site

Right now I have one backup exec server with the sql and exchange agents enabled, and also the library expansion option. I want to install backup exec on another server at our DR site purely for restoring information. What am I looking at as far as purchasing more licenses? Do I have to purchase another base backup exec license and also the sql/exchange agents and the library expansion option? I figure I need the sql and exchange agents for the advanced restore tabs they enable, and I need to be able to restore from tape from the DR site (library option).

If you can, please list what I would need at the remote site. I'm not sure if I need double of everything, or if Symantec allows you to use some on multiple servers. This is what I have at our base site:

Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers

Remote Agent for Windows and NetWare Servers

Library Expansion Option

Agent for Microsoft SQL Server

Agent for Microsoft Exchange Server

Thanks!

I think you'll need at least:

A BE base license

An Exchange agent license

An SQL agent license

As this is for a DR site, you may be able to get away with just having a single tape drive at the DR site, which would save the cost of the LEO license.
