Can you have one Option (e.g Exchange Option) on a media server, then use that server to back up multiple Exchange servers with Remote Agents installed, or is that a licence violation?

Do you need more than one of the same option on a media server?

You would need a license for every server you are backing up with that option.  Check with customer care to verify that the license you purchased isn't a multiserver license as we do sell a single license for multiple servers.

It actually varies for some options, but for remote agents, generally it's one agent per server being backed up. So (to use your example) if you have 3 Exchange servers, you should have 3 exchange licenses.
