Hi, I am running 8.6 with a Sony AIT library & Hi Spec Win2K PC. I am running remote agent & OFO option on 5 servers. Initially I had problems with all servers but I have sorted this by setting the OFO to point to C:\Temp on the Host PC. I am having a problem with just 1 of the 5 servers the error being OFO:Volume name is invalid or not available. The server in question is running Server2003 wher as the others are 2000. I can't understand why OFO works for 4 of the servers but not all 5. Is there a compatibility issue with 2003 ?
Yes there is. You cannot install this version as a media server, but you can backup remote servers that are 2003. However, you are going to have issues with this type of setup. I would upgrade to 10 if possible.
