Options needed to perform backup over fibre network

We currently run backup exec 10.d, and I have Advanced Disk based backup and remote agent for windows options installed. What I'm attempting to do is get the backup's to run over the fibre network.

What I would be interested in is finding

1. exactly what options are needed to perform a backup over the fibre network.

2. Any kind of design/implementation material on the subject.

In the reading I have performed, it looks like I at least need the san shared and media server options to get this working.

I have to install backup exec on each machine  that is directly connected to the san and have the main media server direct the remote servers.

If anyone has anything to add, i would appreciate it very much.

Thanks.

If you would like the Primary server to delegate jobs to secondary, you may consider buying Central Admin Server Option too in addition to SAN SSO. Also, depending on the size of your environment, number of Backup Exec servers, you may want to get standard or enterprise edition of SQL server 2000.

To specify which network to use for backup, see the Admin Guide page 218
