I'm working with Backup Exec 12.5 SP2.  I have a removable drive that is swapped out everyday.  The operating system sees the drive and the disk in it, but Backup Exec won't connect to it.  I've tried to inventory the drive and that succeeded, but I can't catalog it.  My Backup to Disk folders were offline, but I made them online and I still was unable to do the backups.  Any suggestions?

Do you mean an external USB drive?

If so, try pausing and unpausing the Device before trying your Inventory/Catalog

The device was found, but recently has done the same thing as I mentioned in the original posting.

Yes, it's an external USB drive.  I tried pausing and unpausing the device and did the inventory, but it still didn't show.
