Problem backing up Solaris servers

Andr__Hirschi

Good morning

I'm having a problem with backing up my unix servers (Solaris 8, sparc). The speed is anything else than good.
I got a running job at the moment, running 8 hours with only 23 GB backed up. I ran a job for my Windows Servers (SQL, Exchange, Data), 53,5 GB of data which took 1 hour to complete.

This might have something to do with the installation of RALUS. It skips VRTSvxmsa:

Installing Symantec Backup Exec Remote Agent for Linux and Unix Servers 4.0
on scotty:

Installing VRTSvxmsa 4.2.1-REV=build211_2004.08.15 on server ... ERROR 1 of 1 steps
ERROR: request script did not complete successfully
CPI WARNING V-9-10-1420 Could not add VRTSvxmsa package to server

Backup Exec 10d, SP1
RALUS Version 10.1.5629.21

Any hints will be really appreciated.

Kind regards
Andre
