Receiving I/O device error every time

Hi.
During the verify mode of a backup operation and during resotre operation, the operation fails and the error is displayed as "Final error: 0x45d - The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

Is this a common problem? Is it most likely a hardware issue or software issue?

Any help is appreicated,

Hi Maureen,

I/O error usually occurs due to issues with the hardware. PLease ensure that the SCSI Firmware, drivers and the device drivers are all latest. Heres a document that could be of help to you:
