Remote Agent for Linux Client Side Dedupe

Hi,
How is it possible to configure backup exec Remote Agent for Linux to enable client side deduplication without enabling the Remote Media Agent in the Linux client?

The Remote Media Agent for Linux is not listed as a requirement for Client-side deduplication for Linux (Table B-4, page 757 of the Admin guide), but I can't get the backup exec dedupe store to share to the linux computer with out it.

I asked about this internally and it appears that you just need RALUS and DeDuplication Licenses on the (Windows based) media server but that you install the RMAL components onto the Linux Host.

Many thanks for the reply, very helpful. However I'm getting Linux Media Server Option License Violation errors on the backup exec server. Is this a bug in the server?
