I have a library that has 50 slots and it has 10 jobs per week(19 tapes) that need to be exported from the library.

How do I effectively(easily) find witch pieces of media need tobe removed from the library? There has to be areport that does this? Is it effective?

Thanks for the input

Hello,

You can schedule the export job. Refer the following technote.

Can utility jobs be scheduled in Backup Exec 9.x and 10.0 for Windows Servers?

You can run a Robotic Library Inventory report which lists the contents of slots in robotic libraries attached
to media servers.

I understand I can schedule the job. How do I know what pieces of media to export? If I have Three jobs that are pointing to the same media set and they need to be removed to go offsite, how do I know what tapes to remove? Let's say one job uses 4 tapes. The only way I know how to currently is go into the job log AND LOOK IN THE DETAILS. There has to be an semi-automated way to do this.

Please let me know if you can help.
