Restore Failed...help me

I have one Client running Linux Oracle.when I shutdown the Oracle database to test restore error occurs.But when i startup Oracle Database the error does not happen again.Who can explain to me?

run live update until all of the updates are installed including pushing the remote agent out to the remote servers.
