We are running backupexec 10 and a Sony Lib tape (AIT3) library robot.
I changed to new tapes last week and everything worked fine.
I rotated the tapes this week and did a backup, when i try I restore i get "The data being read from the media is inconsistent" tried the restore twice, same result. Did a clean (new cleaning tape) and then the restore went successfull. Did some more testbackups and restores and it went fine. The thing is that I also cleaned the drive last week. Now I wonder what could be the cause of the restore errors the tape is new and the tapedrive isn't reporting any errors. Is there any other checks I should do to be confident that my restores is going to be successfull in the furure?
