Hello all,

I`m having some problem with the restore on Server 2008 via agent,

The Steel:

Windows 2003, with BackUp Exec 12 (File Srv)

Windows 2008 , Exchange 2007 SP1 , Remote Agent installed.

I`m having no problem of backing up information store on a brick lvl , I can see Storage Group`s and mailboxes without a prob.

When I try to restore a mailbox from Win2003 it`s stuck on "Current Operation: Staging", I can see the agent on the tray and the correct restore path.

but it`s stuck on staging and do nothing.

on the Win2008 I`ve found Event: Application Hang Error for Ramsrv.exe faulting model: mapiprov.dll

any ideas ?

tnx

bricklevel backup (lagacy method) is not supported for exchange 2007

About selecting individual Exchange mailboxes for backup

you need to take GRT backup exchange information store.

When you try to restore from a Tape based backup...the information store will be staggged locally on Backup Server.....This stagging is required to convert tape backup which is MTF format (microsoft tape format) into an native application format so that required mailbox can be extracted.

You will need as much free space as information store on Backup server

Stagging location can be changed from advance tab in Restore job but it has to be local NTFS volume.
