Hello,
Yes you can specify the file/files to be restored using the bemcmd Command Line Applet.

Please refer the following link for further reference

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/260977.htm

You did not answer his question. The TechNote does not say how to restore only selected files from the backup, does it?

Hi,
Ken writes exactly that what I´m looking for.
For me it seems that when you specify the JOBHISTORY_GUID you only can restore the whole job.

What I want to do is to restore selected files from a backupjob I had run before.

Is that possible in BackupExec?

According to article http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/235619.htm you can't
"Bemcmd does not support restore operations with the script file..."

That article is for BE 8.6 and earlier versions.

In BE 9.1 you can use script in restore operations. But the question is if you can restore selected files with or without the JOBHISTORY_GUID.

Hello,

You may like to try restoring a specific file using Command Line Applet. If you have tried then what was the result ?
