Restoring to a single Windows 2000 AD controller

I used to have two Windows 2000 domain controllers but one has recently died.  I am left with the primary box.  Thankfully nothing has happened yet but I would like to know what is the proper procedure, step-by-step, for reviving the server if something happens to it?

I am using BackupExec 12.5 running from another server as a solution.  There is an agent (or there should be an agent) running on the Windows 2000 domain controller.  In my Full backup selections for the domain controller, I have the C, D, F and System State all checked for backup.

What do I need to do to restore the domain controller if something happens?  Can I restore the Active Directory information to a different server?  Also since this is a single server, I don't believe this falls under an authoritative restore does it?
