SAN Configuration backup

Is there a way to take a backup for the SAN configuration files itself and not that data on the SAN

Your SAN hardware manufacturer should have instructions on performing a configuration backup.  You will want to save these files to a server drive/folder that Backup Exec has access to and backs up.
