What does the SQL agent gain you? If you have the Advanced Open File Option with SQL 2000, AOFO is only available to perform full database backups. It will freeze the SQL databases for only a few seconds to get the FlashSnap. So if you are doing a backup with AOFO is it necessary to use the SQL agent?.

And when you use SQL Agent for backups it is not recommended to use AOFO as it might arise to problems as well.
