SQL Server Remote Agent Slow Down

The backup rate slowed down to <12mb/min when before we were getting up to ~800mb/min. KB886903 Microsoft update was applied to the local server.
I have re-installed the remote agent. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Which version of SQL are you using?

For test purpose disable all the antivirus software and third party applications, before running the backup job.

Is local backup working fine? Does this issue occur only during SQL backup?

The server is mutlihomed and one NIC was plugged into a gigabit port while the other was plugged into 100mb port. Plugging both NICS into gigabit ports corrected the problem.
