The backup rate slowed down to <12mb/min when before we were getting up to ~800mb/min. KB886903 Microsoft update was applied to the local server.I have re-installed the remote agent. Any suggestions?

The server is mutlihomed and one NIC was plugged into a gigabit port while the other was plugged into 100mb port. Plugging both NICS into gigabit ports corrected the problem.
