SQL express 2005 not install after upgrading from 10.1 to 11d

Hello everyone,

After upgrading an existing 10.1d/msde 2000 sp3a installation to 11d, i have the following situations.  10.1d is still installed and the MSDE 2000 installation has not been upgraded to SQL express 2005.  If fact , sql express 2005 is not installed at all.  11d is runnig but with some instability and the BEDB databases is alway close to 2 gig in size and sometimes get full. My questions are, can i safely install SQL express 2005 over the 11d installation without loosing anything, and can uninstall 10.1 d without damaging the 11d backup exec services.

Update,

I have installed SQL express 2005 manually hoping that it will upgrade my existing MSDE installation.  Unfortunaltely it did not. Now i have 2 SQL vervices running on that server, the MSDE and the SQL express but still, Backup exec 11d database in on MSDE.  Does anybody have a clue on how i can transfer the BEDB database to the SQL Express ? i tried using BEutility but it does not work. 

I realy need help on this, thanks.
