Save Backup jobs to file

As we have a few members in IT and overtime somone will make changes so for safe keeping I would like to backup the jobs as a file....

The reason I ask this as we were used to doing the same in Brightstor and we would simply import the job if there was any corruption / someone made too many incorrect changes and did not recollect what changes were made on those lines......


Can this be done if anyone can help will be greatly apprecaited.

You can export the complete BackupExec config using BEUTIL. Do this after changing anything and store the dump file. BacklupExec does this by default everynight, but if a couple of days go by, you're screwed if you rely on that


You can also dump a job to a text file using BEMCMD see the BEMCMDM Guide (option -o251 )


Or you can dump the job definition from a catalog using CATDUMP see http://support.veritas.com/docs/275545
