Schedule a backup form disk to tape.

Hi,

Am using Backup Exec 2010R2.

DB- Oracle 10g R2 ..

Am planning to take D2D2T backup..

Using Backup Exec am taking backup to disk in the media server.I need to sshedule this backup to tape.How i can achieve this.

You can use duplicate backup job to duplicate existing backup sets. (For already completed disk backups).

Select the destination device as tape device and schedule the job according to your requirement.

You can also change your job setup like, create a policy with one backup template and one duplicate backup job template. In the duplicate template select Run according to the schedule and configure the schedule as you required. Or you can configure a template rule such that after completing backup job duplicate job will start automatically. For this you have to select run according to the rules of this template option in duplicate template.
