SMTP in general allows access based upon IP address. If you're running something funky on your server to make it "secure", Veritas is not, I beleive, compatible with this option.

You will need to set your server to not require login details from your BE server's IP.

May be, but we are using our ISP's Mail server, rather than running it on our server. Almost all ISP's SMTP servers require some form of validation, may be from the connection or by a secure "sign in" . Ours needs the latter. I assume from your reply that there is no way that the Veritas software cannot handle this?

Hello,

Kindly refer the following Document:

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) notification is configured and enabled within Backup Exec but no notification is received after the job runs.
