Selections problem BE 12.5

I am currently running BE 12.5 on win 2003 server with BE remote agent running on win 2008, I am unable to make any selections in the Backup Exec job setup in order to back it up.

I have the logon account set to domain admin, this account is a member of the local admins on the 2008 server
port 10000 is not in use by any other program but backup exec agent
I tried disabling SEP 11 mr1 still nothing
builtin firewall is disabled.

I believe the above is all the necessary info regarding the problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Hi 

   Please try giving "Logon as a batch " job right under the domain controller policy to BESA account and hopefully it will work .
