Server Crash

Hi,

Not sure if anyone can help but I've come to work this morning to find several services fell over last night on our fully patched SBS2003 server.

Checking the event log the problems seemed to start with the below entry in the application event log - this was followed by 4 more similar entries for scheduler 0,1,2 and 3. After this both ISA and the Exchange server encoutered problems and fell over.

All now appears to be ok having restarted the relevant services - but I would be grateful if anybody could shed any light on this error. FYI we are using BackupExec Small Business Server Suite v 10.0 Rev. 5484 with SP1 (no other updates installed).

Thanks,

James

After a little further research since my previous post I found the following article at microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=810885.

This would suggest that the SQL Server Desktop Engine instance used by BackupExec should be upgraded to SP4 (currently using SP3). If anyone is aware whether this is a recommended / supported course of action by Veritas I would be most appreciative.

Regards,

James
