Server spec for new BE2012 installation.

We are going to upgrade our backup system from BE2010 to BE2012. We back up a data server which contains approx 5Tb of data. What is the spec that would be recommended as 'realistic' for backing up this amount of data? This data is a general mix of Office documents, pdf's, etc.

We will be using a Windows 2008 R2 standard server.

If your 5Tb of data are dedup'ed data then you need 1.5Gb of memory per Tb of dedup'ed data. Otherwise there is not specific recommendations for BE server specs

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of getting a Dell Powervault or similar with 12GB of ram. I'm now happy that this was a good decision.
