Slow Restores with CPS

Using CPS we can backup data from remote servers at over 10mb/sec however restoring data to those same servers we are lucky to get 400kbps restore speeds. Any answer as to why the restores are so much slower than the backups?

Anyone able to shed some light on why this may be the case? I cant believe this can be attributed to restores just naturally taking longer. At least not 9 times slower. We can back up say for example 50gb in about 8-10 minutes. It takes 30-40 minutes at least, to restore this same amount of data.
